GAMECHANGER Recommendation: Game Releases in June

GAMECHANGER Empfehlung: Game Releases im Juni

Which game is keeping you glued to your gaming chair this month? Luckily, with the Gamechanger gaming chair, we have a seat that allows our passion to continue without causing us any discomfort. Because there's a reason for all that sitting, and everyone knows what it is 😎. With top game releases in June, there are even more reasons to rack up those long hours. 😅

June boasts a considerable number and variety of releases, which, given the poor weather forecast, might be just what some players are looking for. Right at the beginning of the month, Ghosts and Goblins Resurrection arrives as a rather fun platformer, which should provide Switch gamers in particular with a few entertaining hours on the couch. Things are likely to get bloodier in Necromunda: Hired Gun, a fast-paced indie first-person shooter where you roam the darkest corners of Warhammer 40,000's most infamous hive city as a mercenary . In stark contrast, there are numerous JRPG releases: Edge of Eternity, Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade, and Scarlet Nexus are three promising titles in this genre, with Scarlet Nexus seeming the most intriguing thanks to its main storyline and two-way gameplay. Here you fight for the safety of a future world where, thanks to the psyker hormone, you possess supernatural powers – powers essential for your mission, as simple means are useless against your enemies. At the beginning, you can choose between two storylines. Follow Yuito Sumeragi , the energetic recruit from an influential political family, or choose Kasane Randall , the mysterious recruit whose powers and skills are legendary. As the story unfolds, the two plotlines become increasingly intertwined until the puzzle of this futuristic brainpunk world is finally solved.

The Final Fantasy release for the PS5 is facing some criticism. With the PS5 optimization, Square Enix is also delivering an exclusive new chapter , excluding players of the older console generation. The release also appears to be linked to an extension of Sony's exclusivity rights, meaning the anticipated launch on other platforms will be further delayed. Considering that the highly anticipated Final Fantasy VII remake already attracted a large Twitch audience at its launch in early 2020, the release strategy for Final Fantasy VII could ultimately prove to be a flop. Firstly, there's a noticeable decline in interest among gamers who had hoped for a launch on other platforms this year. Secondly, the lengthy development time of the sequel is also striking a nerve within the fanbase. By the time a sequel is released, most players will have forgotten the story of the first game, and speculation about PS5 exclusivity is dampening the enthusiasm of some gamers on the older console who started with the remake on the PS4.

Outside the RPG world, we can look forward to a new installment in the Ratchet & Clank series. Rift Apart marks the 16th iteration of the brightly colored and arguably cutest third-person shooter platformer with its fun jump-and-run gameplay.

At Gamechanger, we'll definitely be taking a closer look at some games again this month and letting the gloomy weather pass us by in our gaming chairs. What about you? What's your game release of the month ?
